Elsa Schiaparelli Vintage Blue Flower Hat: Hand Sewn 。A Parisian concoction from the early 1950s, with silk crown and brim, garlanded with artificial flowers. Inner lining of lace netting , Schiap\'s own distinctive \"Shocking\" pink label, indicating Paris atelier, and size/number \"22\" fitted into interior (see photo). I am rating this object as \"fair\" given the presence of hat-pin holes atop the crown--see photos. They are not noticeable while being worn, and elsewhere the hat is very good given vintage status, with the bell-like flowers having an ivory cast. The underside/hidden part of the label looks to be entirely in her Shocking pink. The hat is not for those large of skull--see measurements. Ah, and there is a sweet little silk bow, which might be worn face forward if you, like me, have a little brain with big ideas. Elsewhere I notice on Poshmark the slippage between Schiaparelli and \"Schiaparelli-inspired.\" This is the real deal, and would have been one of the last produced items she actually had had a hand in creating, given that she closed the maison in 1954.
