Vintage Black Leather Side-Zip Dress Boots
Size 9D | probably 1960s-1970s
Black high-gloss leather side-zip dress boots in the officer’s style. Professionally shined and showing very well.
CONSTRUCTION
• Goodyear welt construction
• Talon side zipper (American-made zipper manufacturer)
• Ankle strap with buckle hardware
• Double-needle stitching throughout
• Leather outsole with rubber heel cap
• Olive green leather lining
INTERIOR MARKINGS
Stamped: 9 D | 5070568 12 | 469
Maker is not identified anywhere on the boot. Brand unknown.
CONDITION
Exterior leather is very good — supple and intact. Minor wear consistent with age and use. Zipper functions. Leather sole shows honest wear; heel cap is intact.
PROVENANCE
Acquired from a single estate alongside a matching pair in oxblood with near-sequential markings (5070648 / 468), suggesting both pairs came from the same production run. The black pair most likely retains its original leather sole; the oxblood pair was professionally resoled at some point. Both pairs were professionally shined before listing.
Buy as described. Brand and maker are unknown. No representations are made beyond what is observable.
