Just finished felting these traditional Russian valenki 。These are Russian Valenki: thick, felted-wool boots with a tall shaft and rounded toe, made to feel soft and simple on the foot, almost like walking barefoot but warm. In the kind of deep-winter cold people describe in the Russian North and Arctic—down around -40°C / -40°F—they’re the “real deal,” often outperforming modern insulated boots for keeping feet from going cold over a long day outside. The wool’s dense felt texture also gives a surprising amount of grip on ice and really comes into its own in deep snow, which is exactly what you see here with the snow clinging to the lower half. 12\" bottom sole length 5\" width at widest point in toe box A 12\" outsole length (about 30.5 cm) usually corresponds to a foot length around ~29–29.5 cm, since the boot needs extra room at the toe and heel. That puts these roughly in the range of: US men’s: 11–11.5 US women’s: 12–13 GREAT condition, no sign of wear + Offers welcome +
