Accessories | Impressive 193s Black Straw Tilt Hat With 。This gorgeous 1930s\' black straw tilt hat consists of a round \"cap\" which is adorned with straw \'flowers\' at the front. The hat is embellished with a dotted veil and has a straw & elastic strap at the back to hold the hat in place. Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
